Tougher Than Other Foams!
1 Sheet per package, size is 10.5" x 47"
Cellfoam's outer skin is tougher than most other foam sheet products. Some of the other foam sheets are covered with thin cardboard to give their product strength. During the manufacturing process, the outer faces of Cellfoam 88 come into contact with Teflon coated ceramic calibration die faces thus producing the smooth tough surface that Cellfoam possesses. Cellfoam 88's tough outer skin helps make your model more ding resistant, too.
Which Adhesives To Use With Cellfoam 88?
Any epoxy glue, such as those from "BSI", "Pacer" or "Devcon"
All foam-safe CA, such as those from "BSI" and "Pacer"
Insta-Set spray accelerator from "BSI" works great for making instant bonds with CA glues
Water-based brushed contact cement, such as Dave Brown's Sorghum
Water-based wood glue, such as "Elmer's"
Water-based craft glue, such as "Tacky Glue"
Polyurethane wood glue, such as "Gorilla Glue" and "Pro Bond"
Low-temperature hot melt glue
Spray contact cement, such as "3M Super 77"
If you are unsure of your glue choice, test it on a couple of scrap pieces of foam first.
How To Cut or Shape Cellfoam 88
Cellfoam 88 can be cut with any ordinary hobby or craft tool. It cuts easily with a hobby knife or single edge razor blade. It can also be hot-wire cut to shape. The cell structure of Cellfoam 88 also allows the user to sand the edges or surface to any desired shape.
