Wednesday, January 18, 2012Glider Day This Sunday!
We will be sponsoring the first ever NASA Glider Day this Sunday 01/22 at the beautiful and big Atlanta Soaring club field. NASA stands for North Atlanta Soaring Association and if you have ever wanted to learn about gliders and soaring flight this will be the day.
Any type of glider is welcome (AMA required to fly). We will have the two club winches for the pure soaring planes as well as demos of DLG, ALES, Power asst and more. Come check out the big birds with 3 and 3.5 meter wings and get all of your questions answered by friendly club experts.
Don't have a glider? No worries, the club will have one for you to try out and I will have several of my DLG's and even 3 meter ships for you to try.
Burgers and a good time will be served up all starting at about 11AM. Let me know if you think you can make it, everyone is welcome. Directions can be found by clicking here . This will display a map with Scott Hudgens park in the middle of the page.
