Overview:
The Axial Wraith™ Spawn is packed with performance features. This full bodied version Wraith retains many of the components that made this vehicle famous. The virtually bulletproof AR60 OCP axles are ready take the Spawn through its paces whether blasting through the wide open desert or hammering its way through the toughest rock trails. The Ripsaw™ 2.2 tires are a proven true grip standard, wrapped around industry proven Method IFD™ beadlock wheels. Whether you are rock racing or just backyard bashing, the Wraith™ Spawn is ready for action.

The Wraith™ Spawn includes a number of features that are either waterproof or water resistant. Do not run your product in water or snow or submerge it in water without fully waterproof gear.

For this project, Axial wanted to create a body that had a classic feel with modern styling. Just as we have seen in the use of retro designs in the auto industry, with cars like the Dodge® Challenger, we have also seen off-roaders use classic trucks in modern builds. To implement this idea, our Design and Marketing teams brainstormed and discussed some of our favorite trucks and SUVs from the late-70s and early-80s. Taking those vehicles into consideration, the Design team then studied the iconic styling cues of these vehicles and began sketching ideas. As a result, we developed those ideas and created a unique retro styled Axial SUV body - the Spawn.

• Chassis: Full tube composite chassis
• Drive: Four wheel with locked differentials and offset pumpkin for more ground clearance and a better driveshaft angle, AR60 OCP-Axle constructed from high strength, low flex composite material, axle tubes are reinforced and beefed up with a boxed-in axle truss to distribute stress over a larger area
• Radio: 2-channel pistol grip with steering and throttle trim and reverse
• Steering Servo: Tactic TSX45 metal gear servo with 151 oz-in of torque, metal gear train and dual ball bearings
• ESC: AE-5, waterproof-can be switched between LiPo and NiMH battery types with a simple jumper, 3S LiPo compatible, drag brake
• Motor: 20 turn brushed
• Slipper Clutch: Dual pad for added surface area, 32P spur gear for high-torque applications
• Body: Retro styled SUV body with realistic driver figure complete with race suit and three interchangeable helmets, motocross, open skull face or motorsport version, body is also compatible with Wraith, AX10 and SCX10 chassis
• Battery Tray: Sized for standard stick pack and LiPo packs up to 1.8x5.9x1.1" (47x150x28mm) in size
• Receiver Box: Waterproof, silicone seals for antenna, servo wires and receiver box lid
• Suspension: True four link optimized to reduce axle steer, and to have the proper amount of anti-squat and roll characteristics
• Shocks: Composite body , oil filled
• Wheels: Method IFD (interchangeble face design) beadlock design, black in color, adjustable breather holes for fine tuning tire performance
• Tires: Ripsaw 2.2
