Under the licensed Jeep body is a proven SCX10 III platform: a one-piece steel C-channel chassis, AR45 straight axles, 6mm stainless steel links, all-metal pivot balls and oil-filled shocks with aluminum threaded bodies. The LCXU DIG transmission locks the rear wheels from the Spektrum SLT3 transmitter's third channel for tighter turns, while the Axial Slick Rock 35T 540 motor, Spektrum Firma 40A waterproof ESC and S683 steel-gear servo deliver steady trail control. A WARN EVO10-S scale winch, Factor 55 hawse fairlead and LED lights finish the recovery-ready look.

What battery and charger do I need for the Axial SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ RTR?
It runs on a 3S LiPo with an IC3 connector. Axial recommends the Spektrum 11.1V 3400mAh 3S 50C Smart G2 Trail Pro LiPo and the Spektrum S155 G2 Smart Charger. The battery tray fits packs up to 100 x 50 x 31 mm (3.93 x 1.96 x 1.22 in), so check pack size before you buy.
What does the DIG feature do?
The LCXU DIG transmission and SX108PM DIG servo lock the rear wheels from the SLT3 transmitter's third channel. With the rear locked, the front wheels pull the truck around for much tighter turns on technical trails.
Does the SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ use portal axles?
No. It comes with AR45 straight axles, like most full-size trail rigs. The LCXU transmission and the adjustable metal Panhard mount are designed so you can switch to portal axles later if you want.
Is the SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ good for someone new to RC?
