Skydog Freebird Kite: Rainbow
The Freebird is rated for all skill levels because it can handle the learning process of the beginner, but it is realy intended as your next sport kite with much higher performance capabilities than our beginner sport kite designs. The Freebird is an excellent introduction to 'slack line trick flying' because it’s design is similar to our more advanced sport kites.
In higher winds, it’s blinding fast tight spins and incredible buzzing sound makes this kite fun and exciting for any level. The key to this kite is that it has a slower forward speed than most kites this size which makes it a good higher wind kite. It's frame is light, so it also flies in lighter winds with ease.
The Freebird is fitted with a 6mm durable carbon frame. If you are flying the smaller entry level sport kites, it's time to move up to the Freebird! Includes Ready To Fly Dyneema fly lines on winder with fly straps.

Why Choose Skydog?
We have put a lot of thought and effort into creating a combination of the most enviornmentally friendly packaging and a great looking product at the retail level. Every Skydog Kite is packed in a reusable nylon carry case with flight line included in a fold-over pocket. Informative header cards include assembly instructions and fit snuggly into the flight line pocket to keep for future reference. Skydog Kites is proud to have achieved zero waste packaging with our products!
Skydog Freebird kites feature 65’ of line on a winder. Swivel clips are secured to the end of the flight line to help make your flying experience easy and fun. Flight rings allow for a quick launch of the kite as well as easy line retrieval when bringing the kite back to earth.
Skydog stays true to the top quality materials and techniques used when making our kites. Our sails are made of ripstop nylon, the same material used in parachutes and high quality tents. The small squares infused through the nylon make the material stronger, and also limit the length of any tears or rips if your kite has an unfortunate event. All of our spars are made of high quality fiberglass or carbon. The frame stiffness and strength is very important, particularly on larger kites and sport kites. Skydog tests our products with different strength and weight spars to make sure we are offering the best performing kites possible. Our kites are sewn with high quality stitching and the excess material is cut away to give a "stained glass” look when the sun shines through the sail and to keep each kite as light as possible.
