The highly rated and reviewed E-flite Beechcraft D18 1.5m was beloved by many due to its easy assembly, feature-rich design, excellent flight performance, and easy handling. Now it’s back with a unique and fully painted RC-45J (SNB-5P) Navy trim scheme, along with enhanced AS3X+ and optional-use SAFE Select technologies in the BNF Basic version.

The design of the “Twin Beech” D18 proved so adaptable that Beechcraft Aircraft Corporation eventually produced 32 versions - and more than 9,000 total aircraft - from 1937 to 1969. They served in a wide variety of roles, from passenger transport to mail carrier, and even as a military trainer for navigators and bombardiers.

The original E-flite Beechcraft D18 1.5m quickly became known as the most convenient, well-equipped, and easiest-to-fly scale model of the unique aviation icon. Now it's available again with a military trim scheme based on a US Navy variant that first entered service as a navigation trainer, then underwent an overhaul and was reconfigured as a photo reconnaissance trainer in the 1950s. It's outfitted with numerous scale details, as well as functional features such as LED navigation lights, retractable landing gear, and flaps, which further enhance its realism.

The 3S and 4S compatible power system features an exclusive Spektrum Avian Dual Smart Lite ESC. The BNF Basic version is also equipped with an AR631+ receiver, delivering real-time telemetry data along with AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. The BNF Basic version is also the only Twin Beech model equipped with enhanced AS3X+ and optional-use SAFE Select technologies, making it the easiest to fly D18/RC-45J yet. Factory-finished in a highly visible and fully painted white with orange Navy trim scheme, the lightweight yet durable, composite-reinforced EPO airframe features an abundance of scale detail - molded-in panel lines and hatches, antennas, exhaust stacks, a pilot figure, and more.

Included functional flaps, twin rudders, and LED navigation lights elevate your experience to the next level. Factory-installed electric retracts with durable metal components make it possible to take off from a wide variety of surfaces, including paved runways, packed dirt, and even grass. The unique 3-piece wing design makes storage and transport as convenient as possible, as the center section houses the main gear, and all sections feature innovative hands-free connections.
