Leonardo DaVinci Aerial Screw Wooden Kit

The Aerial Screw is one of Leonardo DaVinci’s most iconic drawings, and defines an artist and inventor well ahead of his time.  This working model uses a bevel gear, also from his drawings, to spin the canopy and support structure, illustrating a way Leonardo thought flight might be possible. The canopy and support structure is removable, so you can experiment with your word helicopter or wing-type systems. 

Make in about an hour from natural, untreated wood from sustainable forests.  All pieces pre-cut and ready to go.  Parts are pegged for extra strength.  38cm x 23cm. Recommended age 9 years with adult supervision.
