Frequently Asked QuestionsEverything you need to know
What telescopes are compatible with the Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit?
The Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit is designed primarily for Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) and refractor telescopes equipped with a 2-inch focuser. Newtonian reflector owners can also use all included eyepieces, filters, and the Barlow lens if their focuser accepts 2-inch accessories, though the mirror diagonal is not required for Newtonians.
How many magnification options do I get with the Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit?
The Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit provides six distinct magnification levels out of the box. You get three 2-inch E-Lux eyepieces (26mm, 32mm, and 40mm), and when combined with the included 2X Barlow lens, each eyepiece's magnification power is doubled (functioning as 13mm, 16mm, and 20mm equivalents).
What color filters come with the Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit and what are they used for?
The Celestron 2" Eyepiece and Filter Kit includes five 2-inch color filters: #80A Blue, #58 Green, #25 Red, #21 Orange, and #12 Deep Yellow. These threaded planetary filters attach directly to the bottom of 2-inch eyepieces to enhance contrast, reduce glare, and reveal fine details on the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars.
